Soriana came into being in 1969, thanks to an intuitive vision by Afra and Tobia Scarpa that was destined to re-write the history of upholstered furniture. By taking advantage of new polyurethane foam forming techniques, they crafted a sofa that, for the first time, has no need for internal support, but takes its shape from the grip of the metal structure that embraces it.
This soriana lounge chair is vintage but in a very good condition.
Set consists of a chaise lounge (extra long armchair) + ottoman.

Soriana Chaise Lounge fauteuil en ottoman van Afra & Tobia Scarpa voor Cassina in zwart leer en verchroomd staal. Dit unieke stuk uit Italië is afkomstig uit de jaren 70.
Soriana ontstond in 1969, dankzij een intuïtieve visie van Afra en Tobia Scarpa die voorbestemd was om de geschiedenis van gestoffeerd meubilair te herschrijven. Door gebruik te maken van nieuwe technieken voor het vormen van polyurethaanschuim, creëerden ze een bank die voor het eerst geen interne ondersteuning nodig heeft, maar zijn vorm ontleent aan de greep van de metalen structuur die hem omarmt.
Deze soriana lounge stoel is vintage maar in zeer goede staat. Set bestaat uit een chaise longue (extra lange fauteuil) + ottoman.
