Article 1 - Definitions


In these terms and conditions the following definitions apply:

1. Customer/consumer: customer/consumer is understood to mean every visitor to the webshop who places an order

Article 3 - Applicability

1. These general terms and conditions apply to all purchases from the Rijp Vintage webshop

2. Before the distance contract is concluded, the text of these general terms and conditions is made available to the customer. If this is not reasonably possible, the entrepreneur will indicate, before the distance contract is concluded, how the general terms and conditions can be viewed at the entrepreneur and that they will be sent free of charge as soon as possible at the request of the consumer.

3. By placing an order, the customer accepts the applicability of these General Terms and Conditions.

Article 4 - The offer

1. Rijp Vintage sells second-hand furniture from the past, signs of use are always present. The furniture is vintage and is therefore never in new condition. When ordering, you agree to the condition of the item without requesting details.

2. Photos and information displayed on the website of products are described and depicted as accurately as possible. However, it is not possible to describe every detail, light traces of use or scratch. In principle, deviations cannot be a reason for dissolution or compensation

3. Because our vintage furniture is offered on various digital platforms, it can sometimes happen that several people order the same item at the same time. If this happens, the principle counts whoever paid first receives the product

4. Lamps are supplied without a light source, a lamp may still have old wiring from the past. It is recommended to replace it yourself for safety. We can do this for you on request.

Article 5 - The agreement

1. This agreement is valid at the time of payment

2. Shipping is at your own risk, if there is damage caused by the shipment, Rijp Vintage is not liable for this. Avoid the risk of shipping by picking up the product yourself

3. You will receive confirmation of your order by e-mail, payment is always safe via bank transfer or Ideal

4. When collecting or returning a product, we ensure that we have communicated the address in advance

Article 6 - Right of withdrawal

From a legal point of view, you have the right to withdraw from the agreement within a period of 14 days without stating reasons. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day of receipt of the product. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you can inform us of your decision to withdraw from the agreement by using the contact form. You are responsible for returning or returning the product. You will receive a full refund of your purchase amount, provided the product does not look as purchased. Not even if the product is damaged during shipping. The costs of the return are for the customer

Article 7 - Obligations of the consumer during the reflection period

During the cooling-off period, the consumer will handle the product and packaging with care. He will only unpack or use the product to the extent necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product. The basic principle here is that the consumer may only handle and inspect the product as he would be allowed to do in a store. If you return an item, the shipping risk is for the customer. In the event of damage caused by return shipment, you will not receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Article 8 - Exercise of the right of withdrawal by the consumer and costs thereof

1. If the consumer makes use of his right of withdrawal, he will report this within the cooling-off period by means of the contact form.

2. The consumer returns the product as soon as possible, but within 14 days from the day following the notification referred to in paragraph 1. The consumer has in any case observed the return period if he returns the product before the reflection period has expired.

3. The consumer returns the product with all accessories supplied, if reasonably possible in its original condition and packaging, and in accordance with the reasonable and clear instructions provided by the entrepreneur.

4. The risk and the burden of proof for the correct and timely exercise of the right of withdrawal rests with the consumer.

5. The consumer bears the direct costs of returning the product. If you return an item, the shipping risk is for the customer. In the event of damage caused by return shipment, you will not receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Article 9 - Obligations of the entrepreneur in the event of withdrawal

1. Ripe vintage makes the notification of withdrawal electronically possible for the consumer by filling in the contact form. After receiving this notification, he will immediately send a confirmation of receipt.


2. The money will be refunded to the consumer's account within 3 days after having received the product in good order (ie without damage).


3. The entrepreneur uses the same payment method that the consumer has used for reimbursement, unless the consumer agrees to a different method.


4. If the consumer has opted for a more expensive method of delivery than the cheapest standard delivery, the entrepreneur does not have to reimburse the additional costs for the more expensive method.

Article 10 - Exclusion of the right of withdrawal Article

11 - The price

1. All products on the website are margin goods and fall under the margin scheme. For margin items, no VAT is stated on the invoice. VAT is therefore not deductible.


2. All prices are exclusive of shipping costs and expressed in euros.


3. Orders via the website can be paid via Ideal or on collection via bank transfer. Shipments are only made after payment.


4. Ripe vintage reserves the right to change prices at all times

Article 12 - Performance of the agreement

The products of Rijp Vintage are second-hand, so we offer no warranty. You will receive the product as shown in the photos. Vintage products always have signs of wear, which cannot all be named (see article 4). It is advisable to first come and view your furniture in the shed.

Article 13 - Delivery and execution

-Send small items with DHL or Post NL

Do you live a little further away and do you find it useful that we send your vintage purchase? No problem! Shipping within the Netherlands for smaller items is done with DHL or Post NL. The shipping costs are €7.00 (max dimensions 80 x 50 x 35). Your package will be posted within 5 working days. Of course you will receive a track & trace by e-mail

-Large furniture delivered personally 

Do you live a little further away or is your chosen furniture simply too big for your car? Then we will deliver it to your home with all the love. The costs associated with this can be viewed and paid when paying for a piece of furniture. The delivery time of a large piece of furniture that is not standard delivered by DHL or PostNL is between 1 and 2 weeks. If we happen to be on a shopping trip in France, we will call in a professional courier. Delivery is done to the door and only on the ground floor.

- Pick up yourself in the vintage showroom / warehouse

Visit our 200 square meter vintage showroom full of unique vintage finds! We are located at a special location in Haren (Municipality of Oss, North Brabant) in a former old monastery. Visiting the showroom in Monastery Bethlehem is an authentic experience and can easily be done by appointment. Have you found your dream piece of furniture in our vintage webshop and do you want to pick it up for free and thus avoid shipping costs? You can easily pick up furniture by appointment. Do you want to pick up your furniture and be sure that your furniture has been reserved? Then pay on our website and click on pick up in showroom, so you do not have to pay unnecessary shipping costs. Then contact us and we will plan your visit together. This is almost always possible in the same week. - Rijp Vintage is not liable for damage during shipping

Article 14 – Payment

After full payment, the article is yours, reservation without payment is not possible.

Article 15 – disputes

1. The consumer must give the entrepreneur at least 4 weeks to resolve the complaint in mutual consultation. After this term, a dispute arises that is subject to the dispute settlement procedure.

Article 16 Intellectual property

Photos, logos, images and texts of Rijp Vintage may not be used without permission.
