About the designer:
Giancarlo Piretti was born in 1940 in Bologna Italy. He teaches interior design at the Art institute in Bologna. After that he becomes the head of development at Anonima Castelli where he designs chairs and furniture systems. Known for the famous folding chair Plia and Alky chair. Later Artifort took over the production of Castelli of the Alky chair.
